PS Most of the Gulf Coast has evacuated in preparation for Hurricane Gustav. That is unbelievable. At least they're acting in advance.

Fall classes
» French 101: I am so happy to be taking french classes again (last I took them were in high school). My professor is hilarious & very enthusiastic. She only speaks french, which isn't a problem for me but it would suck if you had no idea what she was saying. I'm trying to perfect my pronunciations haha.
» Anatomy/Physiology II: These kinds of classes always interest me. My professor has a PhD & a british accent! And, she has slides on blackboard (which is a rarity for professors in BMCC) so that cuts down being lost/confused with lectures.
» Intro to Painting: Again, another type of class I haven't done since high school. My professor is very chill (maybe too much...can you say timid?). The projects are fun & one of them is a trip to an art museum to sketch 2 pieces that I like. I can't wait (its in the middle of the semester though -_-). I think I want to go to the MET for one painting/sculpture & MoMa for the other. It's too bad that the Dali exhibit ends Sept 15th.
» Writing 101: And last but not least. This one is the one that this whole semester rides on because I need to get an A in this class. If not, I don't know what I'd do. Its a typical Intro Writing class (like the one I took at Stony). I'm worried because I don't have many strengths in writing (I don't even think my writing is all that great on this blog). Even in Stony, I had some difficulty with it (as well as being distracted by a certain guy in the class). But, I'm trying not to be negative. I'm gonna try to do my best and I just have to keep in mind of why I'm taking it.
This happens to be a semester where I really enjoy the classes.
And, it seems to be one where I can get in touch with my creative side. Yay :D

A late happy birthday to my un nombre fille, Robyn Bell!
And a birthday isn't a birthday without a traditional city trip.
Central Park, Cafe Tasia & row boats.
[I had more pictures but they got lost during the upload...STUPID USB CORD!]

Friends, food, fun....
Today was a perfect day.
As usual, pics later (I AM on the subway).
Ugh, I can't believe I have class tomorrow.

First, we had Paris Je T'aime and now we move on to New York.
I love how HUGE the cast list is & how the stories and characters mingle with each other. And, can I add that most of the songs in that trailer were awesome (Mika, Feist, Regina Spektor)?
I'm gonna go buy Paris Je T'aime now....

On a Friday morning, a young girl took a train to visit the wondrous world of Stonybrook...
I heart watching Dead Like Me with B as well as a MacBook Pro gift and just B, in general. Oh, and packages from the mail!
Riding along this crazy train.
LIRR rides aren't so bad.
I had a great time at Stony and I absolutely love B ♥.
Pics later. *yawn*.

» Ruppie naked?! Yes, my dream has come true.
» Cold + sunny = weather I absolutely enjoy.
» Daniel Radcliffe has dyspraxia...awww.
» I'm still extremely sleepy. Stupid phone call woke me up.
» Driving is improving. I just have to work on my parking.
» Nothing beats finding MJ perfume for $35 instead of $90 :D.
» I'm on such a DIY roll. Fabric + bangle + fabric glue = fabric bracelet!
For the past nights, I've been ravaged into recreating the House of Holland tees from Henry Holland's One Trick Pony collection.
Lo' & behold after 4 nights, I've completed it.
Materials: tee, stencil (use acetate paper), x-acto knife,
fabric paint, roller brush, patience
1) Create stencil.
2) Cut out stencil on acetate paper.
3) Paint stencil on tee.
4) Done!
I'd rather make my own then shell out $75 for the actual thing :P.

Missing BBT :P
We went to the MET last saturday. And, I FINALLY got to see the Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibit. I took a lot of pics but broke it down to these that I really like.
» I start driving lessons this week (FINALLY).
» I'm all set for the fall...registered & paid for.
» 3 things catching my attention: rise in HIV infections, employment time & salary cuts, Russia & Georgia.
» Purchased $20 Nine West open toed booties from Marshalls (originally $89. STEAL.)
» 2008 Olympics have kicked off. I'm rooting for Michael Phelps (& that ripped body of his ^_~ ).
» Its a bummer to hear about Bernie Mac & Isaac Hayes. I was never avid fans of them but its kinda shocking to hear them die.
» I don't know why people are complaining...I like this rainy weather.
» I'm tired of facebook. I'm giving it a break.
» City trips with B are always the best (pics later on).
» I actually can't wait for school to start.

There's no chance in heck that I'll wear these, let alone afford it
but those are the sexiest shoes I've ever seen. Christian Louboutin is divine.

Title is a reference to the Stepbrothers movie.
A day with Robyn Bell consists of Stepbrothers, Cosi's, Crumbs, St. Mark's, asian supermarkets, shopping & hidden parks w. great views. And I found a straw fedora at St. Mark's (but it was $20, which I didn't have on me but I'll head back there and get in the future).
