+Greetings from PA! Thanks to iPhone's 3.0 software, I can blog straight from my phone (cut/copy/paste - OH YEA)! Since I don't get internet in the poconos, I don't bring my lappy therefore I am unable to update. Although, having no internet connection is something I should take advantage of when I'm here. I can really, really relax and be unreachable.

+The King of Pop has left us. I grew up with MJ. I'd watch Moonwalker at least 1000 times. Despite of what he's been accused of, he had a major impact on America's culture and to see him gone is a bummer.

+I was pretty shocked to see a video of a woman dying in Iran but pretty disappointed in CNN for making a big deal about how people were twittering about it and how it was one of the "top twittering topics". Come on people. Have some decency for those you talk about especially those who have died.

+What are the first 3 words you see? [malice-cut-kick for me]

Anticipate

JUST WATCH THEM :)

"I used to feel so alone in the city. All those gazillions of people and then me, on the outside. Because how do you meet a new person? I was very stumped by this for many years. And then I realized, you just say, "Hi." They may ignore you. Or you may marry them. And that possibility is worth that one word."

Why being neutral sucks

a) Both sides of a party feel that you are obligated to pick a side.
b) Your neutrality can be mistaken for ignorance, causing a party to see you as disloyal.
c) It's impossible to function with either party when they're bashing each other.
d) Because of previous reason, you become an emotional dumping ground.
e) You hate being torn between both parties (physically) when things would be easier if all parties were united.

+ Loving English graffiti artist Banksy.

+ "Marielle : Its source is Marie, a French name meaning 'Wished-for child.' "
That beats what I thought it meant (bittersweet).
I think my new nickname shall be Marie.

+Dear Anonymous Person,
I had a dream about you. AGAIN. We were getting along. You were even happy to see me. You were sweet & charming. Qualities I don't think I've seen from you in person. But, we were hitting it off. It made me feel good. You made me smile. And, then I wake up. And, it makes me miss you more. And yet, we can never be like that. I feel I ruined it between us. And, I'm too afraid to make the first move. I'm still waiting for the right moment. I hope you'll still give me a chance.

+What is with all this rain?? I mean, I do appreciate the rain FROM THE INSIDE. But, not when I have to travel in it. Or, when it ruins plans. Or, when it keeps the sun from me. HMPH. Rain, rain go away....

+He will be the death of me. I'm looking for something that isn't there. And all he wants out of me is a good time. Perhaps skeevy/nasty/jerky/disgusting is my type & that's why I keep going back to him. UGH. I. NEED. TO. CONTROL. MYSELF.

+ Sunday's ethnic-celebration-outing made me realize that going with spontaneous action makes for a better expedition. From the city to Coney Island, it was such an unexpected fun summer day.

+ Why be thwarted by the faults of others when you can choose to rise above it? The challenge is to discipline yourself and lead your emotions away from what is not worth worrying about and turn it in the direction of what will carry you above the mistakes of said people. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

+Driving in Long Island > driving in Queens [any day] while morning walks at Long Beach beats walking through stinky Forest Park.

+ "it's really annoying when you're talking to someone about music or a movie or a tv show and they say 'oh, i knew it before it was all famous and everyone liked it. now they're so popular it's annoying' why is that annoying? if you really love it don't you want to share it with everyone? that's why i get happy when people know about some things that i do that aren't that popular. it's nice. i hate the "indie" attitude, that somehow everything must be on an independent label and not be exposed to the world. if the band or tv show hasn't changed due to exposure then still love it like you used to." YES. I agree with you, Hazel.

+Looking for something free to do in the city? Sony Wonder Lab. Robyn & I had a blast despite that it was for kids but hey, it was fun ALL IN ALL.

+Plastic blue cards are evil. I need to develop better self restraint in the future when I have an income. Its so easy to swipe it but its harder to remember that the amount depletes :P

"It's the only one like it"

Count: about 4x I've seen Dedication and it has yet to bore me.
This scene & this scene are also my top picks.

From ear to ear.

It's not official until a letter comes for me in a couple of weeks but according to my interviewer, "[I] have what it takes to be a nurse. [He's] accepting me". BOOYA! I made it to nursing school at Long Island College Hospital. And, ironically, today I received a phone call from BMCC saying I have made their nursing program as well.

To make yesterday even sweeter, I won the spa raffle at my cousin's fundraiser Lyrics for Literacy (which raises money to support children's libraries in the Philippines). It was a good night. Live performances from a couple of groups & artists plus money raised para sa mga bata. Fell in love with The Crowd & a british photographer haha.
