My conquistador.

Time is going so fast. It's ridiculous. It feels like summer has just started for me & there's at least 2 months before school starts again. Ahhhhh! No. I still have to figure out the situation at hand. I hope things will go to plan. If not, I'm gonna be depressed.
In less than 2 weeks I'll be going to Cali. I'm so excited. Again, I still find it ridiculous that it's the last week of June.

STILL want a job. It's funny. There are days when I want to work and there are days where I don't want to. I can never makeup my mind on anything :P

I think I'm beginning to notice a pattern in movies that when they portray Greeks or Spainards (like in The Fountain) or Romans (like in Gladiator) that they have british accents. Just something I noticed.

*hour & 1/2 later*
I think I finally got The Fountain. I mean I had an idea about the first time but this time I think i can fully grasp the idea of it. All this time I was watching it thinking time was lateral. But there's the possibility that there are things occuring simaltaneously at once. Like they could all be happening at different times but the scenes are technically not in order.

The score really helps a movie. It takes a good composer to bring the effect of the emotion in the movie alive.

I think I prefer british actors playing americans rather than vice versa. British actors are much more talented (I feel) than american actors. American actors are too pompous and I feel they just strut around and they are known for all the wrong things. As for british actors, the audience know them for their talent andnot for their marriages or scandals.

I think The Fountain is romantic and sad and the whole immortality issue is interesting. And its the most I've seen Hugh Jackman to his full emotional potential. Oh man, the tears were just flowing from this guy. It definitely leaves you thinking. And there's more than one perspective to the ending.

People don't give movies a chance. I feel that after watching it the first time, if someone doesnt get it they automatically hate it. Usually they dont get it because they are confused. I guess people wouldn't want to put much patience into seeing a movie again and making a new conclusion from that. That's why I always watch a movie more than once if I feel it deserves it because there are movies out there that are so obvious that it's horrible and just plain dumb like those slap stick comedies or those predictable romance movies. That's why I like "thinking" movies. I don't know what genre that would be under but they keep you wondering and that's why I rewatch movies like that.
But of course I do have the occasional guilty pleasures and not all slap stick comedies or predictable romance movies are that bad.

This movie is just something entertaining to watch. It does not make me question my existence. It doesn't make me wonder about curing cancer. People really can be so stupid when it comes to watching movies. Or to believeing what they read. That's why I don't trust reviews. Yea they are helpful in figuring out how a movie turned out to be but it's THEIR opinion. everyone has a different opinion and a different outlook on movies. i want to judge a movie myself and see if it's good or not on my own. I don't need someone to tell me what they think.

after reading people's different views, i can now come to a conclusion of it. it's all about accepting death. Tommy just needed to accept it. It doesn't matter what was real in the movie or what was not. It all came down to the 3 Tom's to accept death.

I wish I had someone to talk about films with. Not only does it give me a new perspective on things but it opens my eyes to things I may not have seen before.

Yo, that would be such a good quality in a guy. If he & I can talk about movies like the way I discuss them now....I'd marry him :)

The Fountain is definitely symbolic. I like symbolic movies. A lot can be said without words.
